Last week was an overall quiet one filled with walking and exams but it ended brilliantly with a nice quiet weekend with kie :) This week though has began much better with a lot of creativity! I have finally began my crocheted cardigan and so far, so good! 12 squares down ?? to go! I will show you guys pictures when it is all sewn together and I will let you in on the square pattern i've been using for those of you who aren't sure about crocheting :)

& so summer begins
Friday was date night. We went out for a meal and then went to the cinema to see "The Five Year Engagement", if you haven't already seen it I highly recommend it, it was brilliant! It was nice to do something we haven't been able to do for what feels like, a really really long time. Saturday we then spent lounging around, baking cakes and then more lounging around :) It's been so nice. Have you guys had a nice weekend?
It's now Sunday night and I finally have that spare time to start a new project. I was inspired to have a go at knitting myself a crocheted granny square cardigan just like this one found here. I have been searching around since I found it for one just like it but there just isn't! Hopefully mine will look just as great when i'm finished. Here goes nothing!

DIY searches
Lately, in my spare time, I have been searching for funky, fun DIY projects I can get doing over the weekend and through the summer. A Beautiful Mess is a great place for doing this, Elsie and Emma's blog is jam packed with all kinds of DIY's for everybody to have a go at. One that caught my eye was the DIY garment rack found here. I have always fancied arranging my ever expanding wardrobe using a garment rack and now I will get a chance to on one I have been able to make just the way i'd like. Thanks Elsie and Emma!

technicolour dream world
Last week was filled with revision and peaceful afternoon walks down the beach. Wales has gorgeous coastlines and i highly recommend you all visiting a piece of it whenever you get a chance. I have just four more days left of non stop revision and then I am all finished. I'm thrilled that it is finally coming to and end. During the beginning of september I will then be moving on to a college to start a Foundation Degree in Care Studies, or so I hope anyway. Two years after I will then go on to do a degree in either Paediatric Nursing or Midwifery, i'm leaning more towards Midwifery at the moment but the next two years will give me practical experience and allow me to make an accurate decision that I will continue to be happy with, well forever, I hope! At first I was apprehensive about the change, moving from a daily routine i've known for the past 6years for a completely new routine and lifestyle, i'm not a one to like change. Now though, i'm really looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life, it will be a good change.

preparations
so yesterday was kie's birthday and the day before that i spent preparing for it, baking cakes and wrapping his present (only one & it was biiiiiiiiig) it was fun and exciting, i was tired after it was all over. i just love birthdays...

the big birthday bash.
YEY! so today was kie's 18th birthday and the day of my first exam but that is by the by! i was so excited, he was so excited, together we were like to small children in a candy shop. in preparation for this big occasion i spent 3hours yesterday wrapping presents and baking cakes :) birthday's have to be my upmost favourite 'holiday'. anyway, pictures off all that will be coming tomorrow, but for now, my bed is calling my name..

so recently most of my days have been spent studying and most of my nights have been spent spending money. that has proven to be a slight problem for my purse. oops. well anyway, i wanted to share what i've been spending all this dosh on!
